Why I’ve Concluded that November is the Best Month to visit Mexico
1. November marks the end of the rainy season.
Most of Mexico’s rainy season ends in October and November. The weather changes from tropical showers to drier, sunnier days after 2 to 3 months of daily rain. The oppressive summer heat goes away, leaving behind pleasant temperatures that are perfect for exploring.
In Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum (all located in Quintana Roo), which are all popular places to visit, the average temperature is between 23°C and 29°C (73°F and 84°F). I love that because to me, that’s pure luxury. I go to El Cuyo, Yucatan, to experience that type of beach atmosphere because there is this small window of the year where there aren’t a million mosquitos, hundreds of people, and dozens of speakers playing house techno music.

If you go to Mexico in November, you’re less likely to get extremely sick because of high heat, humidity, or too much sun. In November, the number of mosquitoes is significantly lower, reducing your chances of getting sick from mosquito bites. I love opening my windows in my home in Mexico during November because I can be certain about the lack of mosquitos entering my home with the dry breeze.
The same goes for bacteria and germs in public places, public transportation, and taxis.
