Let’s jump in!
Disclaimer: I received a free Premium membership and was compensated for writing this Dollar Flight Club review, but all opinions are my own.
What is Dollar Flight Club and How Does it Work?
Dollar Flight Club (DFC) is a flight alert subscription service that aims to help subscribers save money on airfare.
They claim that subscribers save an average of $500 USD per ticket, which is a pretty compelling statistic!
DFC compares fares across flight databases to identify big savings on flights. When a savings of 60 – 90% is detected, Dollar Flight Club will email you about the deal.
Each airfare deal is presented with the departure airports from which you can secure the advertised rate and a range of dates when the fare is available.
Do You Have to Pay for Dollar Flight Club?
Dollar Flight Club offers three different membership tiers: Free, Premium, and Premium Plus.
A Premium membership costs $69 per year and a Premium Plus membership costs $99 per year.
Let’s take a look at what each membership tier includes so you can determine which one is right for you.
Basic (Free) Membership
With your DFC Basic membership, you’ll receive 20% of the flight deals that Dollar Flight Club detects.
You can tailor your deals to the region you live in so you only receive airfares that are relevant to you.
Ultimately, you might save a bit of money with a free membership, but you’ll be missing out on a lot of flight deals if you don’t spring for Premium.
When you visit your Dollar Flight Club dashboard you can see all the discount airfares currently available for both Basic and Premium subscribers.
In the screenshot below you can see that the Premium airfare deals are clearly labeled. As a Basic subscriber you can see these flights in your DFC dashboard but you won’t receive emails about them and you won’t be able to book them without first upgrading to a Premium subscription.
Keep an eye on this page to determine whether a membership upgrade would be worth it for you.
If you don’t travel frequently but want to keep an eye out for great deals, a Basic membership might be a good option for you.
However, if you are sure to take 1 or 2 trips each year, Premium will probably help you save a LOT more money. Keep reading to see why.

Premium Membership
With a Premium DFC Membership you’ll receive all of Dollar Flight Club’s flight deals. Plus, you can select up to 4 departure airports to see alerts for.
You’ll also receive access to the “Domestic Deals” feature, which curates discounted fare alerts designed for weekend warriors. These alerts are for domestic flights (within the US) that depart from your home airport on a Thursday or Friday and return on a Sunday or Monday.
If you’re a fan of weekend getaways, you’ll love taking advantage of this feature!
In addition to cheap flight alerts, Premium members also receive Premium Partner Discounts from a number of well-known travel brands. You’ll receive up to 50% off from brands like SafetyWing, LonelyPlanet, Flytographer, Scribd, and more.

Premium Plus+ Membership
Dollar Flight Club’s Premium Plus+ membership tier is aimed at travelers who favor flying first class or business class.
It features all the same perks as the Premium membership plus deals on Business and First Class airfares.
Premium Plus+ subscribers also receive a 20% discount on a Mobile Passport membership. For those unfamiliar, Mobile Passport is a service that enables US and Canadian passport holders to streamline international travel through many major US airports.
If you’re a frequent traveler who wants to fly in style, a Premium Plus+ membership could save you a lot of money each year.
DFC claims that the average savings on a Premium Plus+ flight deal is over $700 USD. With a $99 annual membership fee, even if you only purchase one flight, your membership will have paid for itself.
So, if you’re a frequent traveler who wants to fly in style, a Premium Plus+ membership makes perfect sense.

How to Book Flights with Dollar Flight Club
When you spot a fantastic deal on Dollar Flight Club, it’s time to book your flights!
When you click on the desired flight deal, you’ll be taken to a page like the one in the screenshot below, which outlines the details of the airfare deal.
As you can see, this page outlines approximately how much money you’ll be saving on airfare, the airports from which you can secure this airfare, and a range of travel dates when you can likely secure this fare.
It’s crucial to pay attention to the travel dates listed. If you attempt to book outside of these dates, you may not be able to secure the flights at the rates Dollar Flight Club is advertising.
Additionally, often these amazing deals on airfare sell out fast, so if you see something that works for you, act fast.
The video below offers a step-by-step walkthrough of how to book your flights through Dollar Flight Club:
So, Is Dollar Flight Club Worth It?
There’s no question that Dollar Flight Club is a convenient way to score great deals on airfare. The fact that discounted airfares are emailed directly to you is a huge time saver.
However, if you travel infrequently or you’re not willing to be flexible about when or where you travel, DFC may not be useful for you.
If you’re the type of person who loves to be spontaneous, the weekend warrior deals might be a fun incentive to visit destinations you might not consider otherwise.
If you’re a digital nomad or a frequent traveler and you’re willing to be flexible about when you travel, where you go, or where you depart from, a Premium or Premium Plus+ membership is a no-brainer.
For those types of travelers, a Dollar Flight Club membership is sure to pay for itself many times over. So far, I’ve used my Dollar Flight Club membership to book one flight, and it did save me about $500 in airfare (just as they promised). Now that travel restrictions have eased up, I’m looking forward to putting my membership to use to save even more!
In any case, with three tier levels and the option of a free trial, it’s very easy to try Dollar Flight Club on for size. If it doesn’t seem like a good fit, it’s very easy to cancel.
